Adoptive Families Today is a non-profit, volunteer group composed of pre-adoptive and adoptive parents and adoption professionals. Dues are $25 per year. Membership benefits include: AdoptNews; educational meetings; a resource library; children's and adult's adoption literature; support groups, children's activities; networking; resources and referrals.

• Our newsletter, AdoptNews, which features AFT activities, as well as metropolitan Chicago and national adoption information and resources.
• An annual conference held during National Adoption Awareness Month in November bringing together prospective adoptive families, adoptive families and professionals for an educational experience.
• Our website gives up-to-date information on AFT and links to other adoption sites.
• Adoption information and resource referral through the “AFT warmline”.
• Programs featuring topics covering some aspect of adoption, adoptive parenting or parenting in general.
• Scholarships for post-secondary education for foster children.
• Support groups based on members interests, (eg. pre-adoptive, transracial/transcultural, age based and geographically based.)
• Monthly parent/tot playgroup
• Scheduled activities for children/families including a Family Picnic.

Member dues are only $25 per year and include access to all of the resources mentioned above.
